Matchplay Championships, Egypt

SGTV Productions recently went with the Matchplay Championships to Taba Heights in Egypt to film the Grand Finals of the mens and mixed pairs competition.

The lucky finalists landing a weeks free holiday at the resort with 3 days of golf to decide the 2009 Matchplay Grand Champion.

Clayton and Adam along with their team of expert golf cameramen followed the action during the course of the event as well as venturing to Cairo to film the Pyramids, the ancient art of papyrus paper making and the Egyptian Museum of Cairo, home to King Tutenkhamun’s treasures.

Both Adam and Clayton were kept busy all week making sure the required footage was captured, including interviews with the clients, John Woosey and his partner Norm. Colin Whitehead of Rewards for Golf , the Mayor of Taba Tarek Rihan , the Resort manager Jan Heesbeen and golf Pro James Shippey as well as all the competitors.

Adam also found time along with camera man Chris Flint, to find and film the family of falcons living in the mountains around the stunning Taba height golf course.

It was not all work, work, work though. Two days were given over at the end of the tournament to relax and enjoy the resort. Clayton experienced snorkeling for the first time and commented that it was like swimming in an aquarium. Never had he seen so many fish in such close proximity. Adam’s main goal was to get rid of his editor’s tan in favour of a bronzed look. In the end he settled on off white!!

SGTV's Clayton Gives Iwan the low down on Volleyball

Clayton Lucas recently attended the FIVB World Championships Round 1 in Sheffield to produce the Great Britain Men’s and Women’s volleyball matches for distribution to Sky Sports and Channel 4.

Whilst there, Clayton was asked to give an insight into the sport and his expert opinion on the GB teams chances during the tournament.
Appearing in vision, Clayton talked with Olympic 400m silver medalist Iwan Thomas, who was presenting 4sports “Road to 2012”.

It was a great experience for Clayton to talk into the camera instead of being behind it, also it was an honour to meet Iwan and see his passion and enthusiasm for the sport of volleyball and indeed any sport that involves GB.
